As I predicted last night with the audio release of Mitt Romney referring to Obama’s supporters as dependent on the government, some of the most vociferous opposition has come from Beltway Republicans.
Here are a few samples. The editor of National Review, once a bastion of conservative political thought, Rich Lowry, refers to Romney’s remarks as “thoughtless.” Lowry is ruining the conservative legacy of William Buckley.
And what about our friends over at the voice of Neocons, The weekly Standard, saying? Bill Kristol, a man whose neocon influence has drastically redefined the Republican Party called Romney’s comments “arrogant and stupid.”
Michael Warren goes so far as to proclaim that “Conservatives Agree: Romney’s Wrong.”
If you want to know why the Republican Party is losing elections it’s due to feckless, pseudo-conservatives like Bill Kristol and Rich Lowry.
