Obama’s third grade teacher says he joined Muslim prayers at school

(The Australian) As a schoolboy in Jakarta, Barack Obama attended Muslim prayer sessions with his classmates against the wishes of his mother.

The US President’s former grade three teacher said that Mr Obama – who was known as “Barry” when he attended the Menteng One school in Jakarta – studied the Koran and went to classes on Islam, despite the objections of Ann Dunham, a Catholic.

The teacher’s recollections will add to speculation about Mr Obama’s links to Islam during his much-anticipated visit to Indonesia, the world’s most populous Muslim nation, as part of his ten-day tour of Asia.

The teacher, Effendi, who taught at Menteng One for 29 years, remembers Mr Obama as a “fat, curly-haired, curious boy”. The school had an international mix of pupils, including Christians, Hindus, Buddhists and Muslims.

Mr Obama attended classes on Islam while the Christians attended classes on Christianity, said Effendi. Barry, he said, was alone among the pupils in that he insisted on attending both.

“His mother did not like him learning Islam, although his father was a Muslim. Sometimes she came to the school; she was angry with the religious teacher and said ‘Why did you teach him the Koran?’” said Effendi.

“But he kept going to the classes because he was interested in Islam. He would also join the other pupils for Muslim prayers.”

Obama regrets distortion of Islam to justify violence

(The Hindu) U.S. President Barack Obama on Sunday regretted that the “great religion” of Islam has been distorted by a few extremists to justify violence towards innocent people and called for isolating these elements.

“I think all of us recognise that this great religion (Islam) in the hands of a few extremists has been distorted to justify violence towards innocent people that is never justified,” he said.

“So, one of the challenges the world faces is how to “isolate” those who have these distorted notions of religious war…and reaffirm those who see faces of all sorts whether you are a Hindu or a Muslim or a Christian and a Jew or any other religion that we can all treat each other with respect and mutual dignity,” he added.

Mr. Obama said the phrase ‘Jihad’ has different interpretations. Islam is one of the great religions and majority of its one billion practices believe in peace, justice and tolerance, he added. (My emphasis)

(Daily Mail) Mohammed has become the most popular name for newborn boys in Britain.

It shot up from third the previous year, overtaking Jack, which had topped the list for the past 14 years but was relegated to third spot.

Olivia topped the list for little girls for the second year in a row, behind Ruby and Chloe.

A total of 7,549 newborns were given 12 variations of the Islamic prophet Mohammed’s name last year, such as Muhammad and Mohammad.

Opposing mosques a federal crime?

If the Imam-in-chief gets his way opposing mosques will be a federal crime.

The Obama administration, for the second time in two months, interjected itself Monday into an angry local dispute over a proposed Islamic center, warning local officials that opposing the mosque could violate the civil rights of its members and become a federal crime.

Is Islam a religion of peace?

So Time magazine is asking if Americans are Islamophobic. I have a much more important question:

Is Islam a religion of peace?

If we are going to have a debate on if Americans are Islamophobic or not, then we also need to have a legitimate, unvarnished debate on whether Islam is indeed a “religion of peace” as were are told ad nauseum.

Are most Americans Islamophobic? Yes, probably. But it’s justified. There is a reason for it. It’s called Islamo-fascism.

So, my question to you is: Is Islam a religion of peace?

Obama says “‘Islam has always been a part of America’”

Secretary General of America (this what we’re calling him now) Barack Hussein Obama that Islam contributed to the founding of America. Commemorating the beginning of Ramadan, Barack Hussein said the following:

Here in the United States, Ramadan is a reminder that Islam has always been part of America and that American Muslims have made extraordinary contributions to our country.

Really? Islam has always been a part of America? Perhaps it’s due to my lack of re-education in liberalism, but I am unaware of Islam’s role in the founding of America and its formative years. I didn’t know Thomas Jefferson was Muslim. Oh, right. That’s because he wasn’t!

Then Obama says that “American Muslims have made extraordinary contributions” to America. Again, really? Contributions, yes. But extraordinary contributions? No. I can’t think of any.

Name one extraordinary contribution an American Muslim has made to America.

It can’t be done because there aren’t any.

I’m sick and tired of the incessant Muslim outreach placation by this government (which, by the way, was start by Karen Hughes, George W. Bush, and Condi Rice)!

Race-baiter Tavis Smiley’s new gig: Public relations for Islamofascism

I’ve been on the record stating that neither Michael Steele or any other so-called Republican or conservative should ever be a part of any event in which Tavis Smiley is associated (this includes Smiley’s annual State of Black America, which Steele has attended in the past).

We have known for a while that Tavis Smiley is nothing but an ignorant race-baiter (Cornel West is one of his buddies) masquerading as a pseudo-intellectual claiming to be the leader of the black community. Now he shows us just how ignorant he is while performing his apparent new job: public relations spokesman for Islam:

And guess what? Because Smiley’s show airs on PBS, we’re paying for it.

My recent article, “The Liberal-Muslim Axis,” provoked such sycophantic ranting from the Alinsky left that I thought it prudent to write a follow-up article on the same subject.

Ayers in Egypt

Florida radio host Pam Geller wrote of President Obama’s Chicago mentors who launched his political career in Chicago, Bill Ayers and his wife, Bernardine Dohrn, who recently took their Jew-hating rampage to the Middle East.

The protests were led by Jodie Evans, co-founder of Code Pink, a far-left activist organization formed in 2002 to protest America’s war in Iraq. Code Pink recently met with terrorist groups, Hamas and with leaders of the Taliban. Evans was also a fundraiser and financial
bundler for Obama’s presidential campaign.

Ayers and Dohrn, 1960s radicals both, have the ear of the evangelical left. A number of mainline liberal churches have proposed boycotts and divestment from any company that does business with Israel, including the United Church of Christ, the denomination of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright and President Obama.

The protesters in Gaza are merely Islamic propagandists spewing taiqiya (lies to advance Islam). Thus, the Obama-Ayers-Wright Axis is congruent to the Liberal-Muslim Axis.

‘Palestinian Christians’ against the Jews

Old South Church in Boston (United Church of Christ) has hosted conferences of an anti-Zionist organization that calls itself “Friends of Sabeel, Christians.” In a landmark decision on Sept. 17, 2009, Britain’s trade unions voted unanimously to participate in a mass boycott movement, disinvestment and sanctions not against Iran, Syria or Saudi Arabia, but against little Israel – demanding a negotiated settlement based on “justice” for Palestinians.

The motion was passed at the 2009 Trades Union Annual Congress in Liverpool by unions representing 6.5 million workers across the U.K. Britain’s trade unions, together with those of South Africa and Ireland, voted to use a mass boycott campaign as a tool to bring Israel into line with international law and pressure it to comply with U.N. resolutions that seek to support an independent Palestinian state by damaging the state that feeds and protects them, Israel.

Here you have liberal Christian denominations in America and throughout Europe allied with Palestinian Christians boycotting against the tiny nation of Israel – a fragile, embattled country that is one war away from Hitler’s Holocaust, part 2. These global, anti-Semitic boycotts against the Jews are indeed a major part of the vast Liberal-Muslim Axis.

Google doing its part to sweet-sell Islam

Google should change it’s slogan to: “Google–The official search engine of Islam.” Here’s why:

Google’s search engine returns common results to most queries as you type. But the “don’t be evil” company appears to be censoring its results when it comes to Islam.

Type a few words into the search field on Google’s home page and the engine automatically returns a helpful list of popular, similar searches for the words you’ve typed in so far — a convenient way to find the right information.

Enter “Christianity is” and you’ll find results that, while offensive, at least indicate common discussions on the Internet. Likewise, type “Judaism is” and Google suggests other, potentially offensive searches such as “Judaism is false” and “Judaism is not a race.”

But type “Islam is” into the search engine and Google’s auto-results pane mysteriously vanishes, leading some to conclude that Google, whose mantra is “don’t be evil,” is censoring its search results.

Google explanation? It’s a bug in the software.

Right. How convenient that Islam appears to be the only religion impacted.

I’m sick of Islam getting special treatment. I’m not saying we should attack it, but it shouldn’t get placed on a pedestal above every other religion all because whackjob liberals are afraid of offending Muslims. And why are they afraid to offend Muslims? Because Islamo-fascists blow people up. So instead of calling them out the media choose to turn into pitchmen and women for Islam.

They’re cowards.
