The ink isn’t even dry on my copy of Trickle Up Poverty and look what happened

My father was talking with me just the other night about “How good this guy is”. He was speaking of the gift copy of TUP I sent him last week. As I had been reading through my copy I cheated and started at the back of the book. I was enticed by the 37 ideas Dr. Savage had published and the fact that he snuck in a new subject into his bullet proof mantra of borders, language, and culture (BLC) now making it BLC and E (economics).

In going through that section you find items #10, #11 and #12. Today’s news of the 10:30 phone call last night alerting the President of this new terrorist plot is alarming in itself! Our intelligence didn’t know about this until 10:30 last night…something so large and so intricate in planning?

“Dry run” or not the news of these events is still fluid and still changing as these words are typed.

Some questions need to be asked loudly from Savage’s book and they need to be answered immediately.

#10 where has Janet Napolitano been? Perhaps she’s calling Mayor Bloomberg to see if he thinks some Tea Party people are behind it or somebody who doesn’t like Obamacare…losers all…Donald trump call your office. You have some firing to do!

#11 obviously the British Security official who claimed just yesterday that the United States takes this Airline “security” business “too far”. I guess Dr. Savage needs to find him and send an autographed copy of TUP along with #11 marked in highlighter and a post –it-note on the page. (Don’t ever dog ear a classic) We don’t know the whole story yet but I’ll bet these surprises flying to the United States are not originating from some disgruntled Vatican Guards!

#12 again another politically appointed Government official needs to answer for his failure here. Perhaps his failure is being in the domino chain below Homeland Security but this only proves that the position should have been a “cabinet” position to act as “duplicate” reception and advisor role to the President and not yet another layer bureaucracy which isolates these situations which require keen intellect and quick action to save lives. This should have been in an NSA brief long before a 10:30 phone call. Instead, Holder is still probably dumping dirt on the Black Panther case and planning who he will have Obama’s SA, I mean SS, I mean Civilian Security Force, bring into line. This enemy is Radical Islam and not US Veterans or Grandparents who protest their Government being turned into a National Socialized Party.

Savage conservatism

Conservative talk-show host and Washington Times columnist Jeff Kuhner celebrates the release of fellow conservative radio host Michael Savage’s best-selling new book Trickle Up Poverty by articulating one of the best descriptions of both Savage and conservatism I’ve ever seen or heard:

Mr. Savage’s one-nation conservatism does not play well with many in the media – even on the right. He has been marginalized for years, denounced by many liberals and conservatives as a right-wing yahoo, an irresponsible bomb thrower. His real crime, however, is that although he is a conservative, he is also a genuine maverick who wants no part of the decrepit – and venal – GOP establishment. As Mr. Savage puts it, Republicans “raped Lady Liberty for eight years” during the administration of George W. Bush. In short, he is not a lapdog for the GOP.

There is nothing “respectable” or safe about his politics. He is a culture warrior, who is not afraid to challenge the prevailing secular multicultural orthodoxy. He opposes abortion – except in cases where the life of the mother is threatened. He calls for closing the southern border by deploying thousands of U.S. troops. He wants to deport all illegal immigrants convicted of violent crimes. He believes English should be the country’s official language. He argues that the West is in a life-and-death struggle with radical Islam and that all methods to win the war – including profiling – must be used. In short, Mr. Savage is a rarity in today’s New World Order: a flinty nationalist who champions “language, borders and culture.”

He is willing to say publicly what many conservatives will only whisper in private. This is why he is adored by his fans – and despised by his enemies. He is a man of another generation and another time. “The Savage Nation” is one of the last redoubts of free speech in the media unpolluted by political correctness.

Mr. Savage is unique among major conservative radio hosts. He is not a pro-Republican corporatist, nor is he a libertarian materialist obsessed with profit and porn, and neither is he an open-borders free-trader. Instead, he is a conservative traditionalist, who champions God, country and family. His popularity continues to soar, despite relentless smear campaigns, because many Americans recognize that this is the worldview that made our nation great and is essential to restoring the Republic. (My emphasis)

Ellis Washington on his new radio show, Barack Obama, and his work on Michael Savage’s biography

It was truly an honor to interview my friend and vigorous supporter of The Conservative Beacon, Ellis Washington. Ellis, as most of you know, is a contributor to WorldNetDaily.com and the hand-picked biographer of conservative radio legend Dr. Michael Savage.
Ellis has been kind enough to allow me to post his WND columns on The Conservative Beacon over the last couple of years, as well as a few exclusive pieces for the site. He is now the host of his own radio show “The Washington Report” which airs every Thursday from 11AM-12PM EST on 1620AM in Atlanta, GA and at Radio Sandy Springs on the Internet. I will be a guest on the Feb. 5 edition of “The Washington Report.”

The interview includes a preview of what the show will focus on, his opinion of Barack Obama, campaign finance reform, and Haiti, as well as an update on the status of his work on Michael Savage’s much-anticipated biography. Enjoy!

Many of the “most influential conservatives” aren’t, you know, conservative

All this week, the Telegraph has been publishing its second annual list of the top 100 most influential U.S. conservatives. If you are wondering why conservatism lacks leaders in this country just look at who is on this list.

Pseudo-conservatives like these are on the list:

  • David Brooks
  • Olympia Snowe
  • Steve Schmidt
  • Joe Lieberman
  • David Frum
  • Dick Morris
  • Lindsey Graham
  • Arnold Schwarzenegger

They aren’t conservative. Some aren’t even RINOS, they’re flat-out liberals (i.e. Olympia Snowe).

How the hell is Dick Morris (46) ranked ahead of Michael Savage (47)? I have two problems with this:

  1. Dick Morris isn’t more influential than Michael Savage; and
  2. He isn’t a conservative

Probably as many as 40 of the names on this list aren’t conservative. They may be influential Republicans, but they aren’t conservatives.

This list illustrates one of the chief reasons why conservatism has sputtered over the last few years: it has no leadership. Give it some leadership and watch what happens.

Because Liberalism is a Mental Disorder

Ellis Washington

I believe it’s time for the heads of left-wing agitation groups [ACLU, National Lawyers Guild, and MoveOn.org] who are using the courts to impose their will on the sheeple to be prosecuted under the federal RICO statutes.

–Michael Savage, “Liberalism is a Mental Disorder” (2005)

he theme of this picture is whether men ought to be ruled by God’s law or whether they are to be ruled by the whims of a dictator.

–Cecil B. DeMille, on his 1956 movie, “The Ten Commandments”

Prologue to a mental disorder

In 1615 the great scientist Galileo put his life on the line against the supreme political power in Italy and boldly told the Catholic Church that the earth was not the center of the universe (geocentrism), but that the earth and all the planets revolved around the sun (heliocentrism).

Einstein tolled for years in obscurity as a lowly patent clerk while working on his experiments from 1895-1905. He was marginalized by his professors as a “dreamer” and a “C student,” scorned by his fellow scientists as an oddity, yet his theory of relativity changed the world and ushered in the Nuclear Age.

What did these men have in common? Both were intellectual giants who dwelt among the legions of mental midgets of their day, yet they ignored the cacophony of lesser men with duplicitous agendas and fulfilled the transcendent calling of their singular genius.

Why blacklist Michael Savage?

The great French philosopher Voltaire, one of the founding father’s of classical liberalism, is credited with saying, I may not believe in what you say, but I will die for your right to do so – yet, where are these sentiments regarding the blacklisting of Michael Savage? Why has not one member of Congress, not one person in the Stalinist-controlled media complex, the ACLU, or free-speech activists of the academy willing to lay aside their own cowardice and indifference and defend this American patriot? Because liberalism is a mental disorder.

On May 5, 2009, conservative intellectual and radio host Michael Savage was banned from entering Britain, his name blacklisted by a Western democracy for two reasons: 1) He was a Jew, and Britain, using egalitarianism (equality of results), wanted to balance their list of Muslim terrorists with other people who were not Muslim; and 2) For 15 years Michael Savage has been the most eloquent and vociferous voice in the media chronicling how liberalism has perverted America, Western Civilization and the world. Why would Britain (and America by de facto silence) stifle this man’s freedom of speech, freedom of expression and freedom of movement? Because liberalism is a mental disorder.

Mr. Paul Yaw, a “Savage Nation” fan, sent me this provocative missive: “On the issue of abortion, why is it that if tomorrow the Mars Explorer found a single-cell amoeba, the mainstream media would be all agog at the discovery of life on Mars? Yet, a multi-celled fetus here on Earth receives not an iota of respect as a microbe or germ on Mars?” Because liberalism is a mental disorder.

Why did the American Psychiatric Association categorize homosexuality as a mental disorder in 1968, but by 1973 homosexuality was per se removed and in 1986 entirely removed from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) and re-categorized as a normal lifestyle choice?

Did God add an 11th Commandment or apologize for destroying Sodom and Gomorrah? Did Jefferson’s “pursuit of Happiness” include same-sex marriage and sex with children? In 1973 did all of the little Sigmund Freuds and Carl Jungs of the American Psychiatric Association have an epiphany regarding homosexuality? No, it’s because liberalism is a mental disorder.

MSNBC’s Ed Schultz: Republicans “Want to See You Dead”

MSNBC and liberal talk radio host Ed Schultz told all seven of his viewers that Republicans like it when people get cancer and that they “want to see you dead.”

This is very similar to what got conservative talk show host Michael Savage fired from MSNBC several years back when he told a prank caller (not even a legitimate debater) that “you should get AIDS and die.”

Will MSNBC take the same action against Ed Schultz that it did against Michael Savage? Of course not. Schultz probably won’t even be reprimanded. Why? Because he’s a socialist like Obama. In other words, he’s one of their own.

No wonder no one watches MSNBC.

UPDATE: Apparently I underestimated the size of Schultz’s audience. He actually has 9 viewers, not 7. My sincerest apologies, Ed.

For those of you following the virtually ignored story about the blacklisting of Michael Savage by the U.K. on May 5, and the unjust libel and slander committed by a Western democracy against an American patriot without a peep from the government-controlled media here, about two weeks ago my friend and intellectual mentor, who is the host of “The Savage Nation” radio program, received an unexpected letter inviting him to Cambridge University to debate on the subject of “political correctness.”

Savage was both intrigued by this unique invitation, but suspicious. His fertile mind was going 100 mph. Was this a trick by the Labour Party of Prime Minister Gordon Brown? Were the socialist academics at Cambridge University setting Michael up for a big fall? Were clandestine forces trying to weaken or destroy the civil defamation suit Savage had brought against Jacqui Smith, the former home secretary, and Brown’s administration? And most importantly to Savage: Would he be allowed debate the team at Cambridge Union Society alone, or would he be paired up with an assortment of radicals, racists and demagogues?

For those who don’t realize the monumental importance of being invited to Cambridge University, to the world’s oldest and most prestigious debating society, founded in 1815, ask yourself: How many American intellectuals, academics, presidents, justices of the Supreme Court, congressmen, senators, big shots in the Stalinist media or commissars of the conservative right have received an invitation from the Cambridge University Union? Three people: Presidents Theodore Roosevelt and Ronald Reagan and Nobel Prize winner and Secretary of State Henry Kissinger.

Michael, that puts you (and your ignored cause) in good company.

RedState Covers Boycott of Glenn Beck Program, But Chooses Not to Cover Boycott of Michael Savage

By Josh Price

Why are the folks at RedState all over Color of Change’s boycott of Glenn Beck over his remark that he believes Chairman Obama is a “racist,” yet chose not to cover the Council on American-Islamic Relations’ (CAIR) boycott of fellow conservative radio talker Michael Savage?

Let me very clear, I’m on Glenn Beck’s side on this issue. The advertisers who have removed their ads from Beck’s show are cowards. They have the right to do so but we also have the right not to purchase their products.

My beef is with the so-called “conservative” media not coming to the defense of Savage. Let’s not forget that Savage received threats against his and his family’s life from our good friends–the practitioners of the religion of peace. Where was RedState–the supposed conservative leader in the blogosphere–then? Their silence was deafening.

That’s why I almost fell out of my chair when I read the following from one of RedState’s founders, Erick Erickson, on the fallout of potential success of the boycott against Beck:

If they are successful, they will move beyond Beck to others.

This is precisely what we were saying about the affect of CAIR’s boycott of Savage and, more recently, the U.K.’s decision to ban Savage from entering the country. If they are successful against Savage, do you really believe they or someone else won’t come after you, Erick Erickson

RedState’s selectivity is astounding and shameful.

They do some good work over there, don’t get me wrong, and we’re fighting for generally the same things, but they are choosing to defend Glenn Beck because, like Beck, they have become  part of what Sean Scallon at the American Conservative calls “Conservative, Inc.”–the business of conservatism. (Plus Glenn Beck is a safer personality to defend. They view Savage as to cynical, harsh, and polarizing.)

Come on RedState, you should be defending Savage as vehemently as you’re defending Beck!

Henry Gates vs. Michael Savage

Ellis Washington

Ellis Washington

If you want to squelch my free speech, go ahead and try it. By doing so, you’ll reveal your true colors. You’ll be acting exactly like the [Nazi] Brownshirts that you really are.

–Michael Savage, “The Enemy Within”

The case of Henry Louis Gates, chair of the Department of African-American Studies at Harvard, and his conflict with the local police with virulent charges of racism and racial profiling brings to the surface some interesting dichotomies with my friend and mentor, Michael Savage, and his present blacklisting by England and its recently uncovered collusion with America. Let’s examine a few of them.

Gates is a very well-respected black academic at an elite educational institution, yet his oeuvre, in my opinion, is amateurish at best, partisan at worst. For example, in 2000 he and fellow race baiter Cornel West (now at Princeton) collaborated on a book, “The African American Century: 100 Black Americans Who Shaped America.” Of course, I like many other academics was shocked to see that the most influential and intellectually affluent black man and black women in America, Justice Clarence Thomas and Judge Janice Rogers Brown, were not even listed as part of the 100 most influential blacks, let alone even mentioned in a footnote by these two “scholars.”

Michael Savage has two master’s degrees and a doctorate from the University of California at Berkeley in the hard sciences. His doctoral thesis was published by Harvard. He has written more than 25 books, five New York Times best-sellers. His radio show, “The Savage Nation” has between 8-10 million listeners per week. Rush, Hannity, O’Reilly, Glenn Beck notwithstanding, Dr. Savage is the most intellectually astute and interesting radio host in America.

The Gates affair took place on July 21 when one of his neighbors called the police because she was concerned that two men appeared to be trying to break into professor’s Gates house by repeatedly hitting against the front door. What turned out to be an innocent mistake on the neighbor’s part could have been diffused by Gates when the white police officer came to investigate, but the good professor instantly visualized a race card and played it with all the skill of an Al “Tawana Brawley” Sharpton or Jesse “Hymietown” Jackson.

The Michael Savage affair occurred on May 5 when, completely unprovoked, Britain Home Secretary Jacqui Smith placed Savage’s name on a list of infamy along with Hamas baby killers, Muslim fanatics, homosexual hatemongers and Russian Neo-Nazis just to name a few. Of course, Michael and most right-thinking Americans who love freedom of speech and freedom of expression were outraged at these Stalinist tactics against a bona fide conservative intellectual, American patriot and an unabashed Anglophile.

Rush Limbaugh, Hannity, O’Reilly, Glenn Beck, Fox News, conservative think tanks, the government-controlled media and President Barack Obama all were seemingly in rare agreement that the blacklisting of Savage was a good thing. They were happy about his dire plight, and they uttered not a mumbling word of support even when Savage pleaded with them daily for help and even sent letters asking that the Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and President Obama use diplomatic backchannels on his behalf as an America citizen, despite their political differences, since they are bound by the Constitution to “protect and defend” Savage’s constitutional rights “against all enemies foreign and domestic.”

Michael Savage: Banned by Britain to ‘Balance Least Wanted List’

By Josh Price

On the Thursday, July 23rd edition of The Savage Nation radio broadcast, conservative host Michael Savage told his listeners that they would be astounded by what he and his legal team had uncovered during the discovery phase of his lawsuit against former British Home Secretary Jacqui Smith. Savage went on to say that once this information was released those in the conservative media who chose not to cover the story of Britain banning and putting him on a blacklist with Islamofascists and KKK members would have egg on their face. He wouldn’t name many names, but I will:

  • RedState
  • Michelle Malkin
  • National Review
  • Human Events
  • HotAir
  • Glenn Beck
  • Sean Hannity
  • Rush Limbaugh

They all failed to report or opine on this story. Why? If they are such wonderful bearers of conservatism, why have they not come to the defense of the most conservative of all of them?

Perhaps these conservatives will come to Savage’s defense in light of the following report from London’s Daily Mail:

Emails written by Home Office officials privately acknowledged the ban on Mr Savage would provide ‘balance’ to a list dominated by Muslims – and linked the decision to Gordon Brown and Foreign Secretary David Miliband.

The officials admitted their action could look ‘duplicitous’ and cited his ‘homophobia’ as a reason the move would receive public support.

Now, correspondence released under Freedom of Information legislation suggests the banning of Mr Savage, whose real name is Michael Weiner, was based on a party political calculation made at the highest level of Government.

One message, sent by an unidentified Home Office official on November 27 last year, said that ‘with Weiner, I can understand that disclosure of the decision would help provide a balance of types of exclusion cases’.

The documents include a draft recommendation, marked ‘Restricted’, saying: ‘We will want to ensure that the names disclosed reflect the broad range of cases and are not all Islamic extremists.’

A further email confirmed the decision was approved at the highest level of Government, saying: ‘HO [Home Office] intend to include Weiner in their quarterly stats… Both the FS [Foreign Secretary] and PM [Prime Minister] are firmly behind listing and naming such people.’

One civil servant, again unnamed, counselled caution, saying: ‘I think we could be accused of duplicity in naming him’ – without explaining why – and even added that ‘the fact that he is homophobic does help’.

Every conservative news site should be covering this story, even if you don’t like or enjoy Michael Savage. This incident is much bigger than one person. If Savage had taken this lying down you can better believe people like Hannity and Limbaugh were next. Had this happened to Hannity or Limbaugh, however, they would have had the weight of FoxNews and other giants in the conservative media behind them. Michael Savage has had only the support of his listeners and donors to his legal fund, and a few blogs and radio hosts.

Let’s see if the “conservatives” listed above finally come to Savage’s defense. I’m sure they won’t, and that should tell you everything you need to know about their brand of conservatism.

UPDATE 1: It’s now 1 o’clock here on the east coast and still nothing on this story from the major conservative media outlets. Nothing from RedState, Michelle Malkin, or the first hour of Rush Limbaugh.

Amazing.

UPDATE 2: It’s 3:30 eastern and still nothing. Limbaugh’s show ended without a mention (shocking, I know); Drudge has removed the links to the story; RedState (again, shocking) is still silent; and we all know Hannity and his “Special Edition,” “Stop Whoever or Whatever Express” will surely mention this story.

Nope. In their eyes Sarah Palin’s farewell speech is much more important, after all, within a few months she’ll probably have a show on Fox News. (Remember, you read that here first).

But hey, at least Hannity can get wonderful guests like Al Sharpton, Charlie Rangel, Phil Donahue, Terry McCauliffe, etc. That should crystallize with you–that Sean “Great American” Hannity will allow liberal rats like those mentioned on his show to promote their garbage, yet he will not defend a fellow conservative unless his name is Limbaugh or Levin.
